Catherine Gray

Catherine Gray is a writing teacher, public speaker, and author of the blog Unsilenced Woman. Her work is based in the belief of the interdependence of personal and social transformation, and she explores how our inner work can become an outward expression through healing justice and compassionate activism. Her essay ?A Letter to My White Son? has reached readers in over 90 countries and inspired shared storytelling. She has worked with Portico Jackson magazine, The Jackson Free Press, AmeriCorps, and Parents for Public Schools, in addition to completing The Mississippi Teacher Corps. An alum of Millsaps College, she holds an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mississippi and has trained at the Teachers College Writing Institute at Columbia University.
